Ms. Akinwale
16 years teaching history in Lagos
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Jacaranda Public School
- Since 2006
- English, Yoruba
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 20 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Ms. Akinwale: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me history in 2017 at Jacaranda Public School. I still remember the time the class pet escaped Truly.
