For 36 years I have been the economics teacher at Beacon Secondary School. I teach primary school children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,440 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
What gifts mean to Ms. Acosta: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
