For 16 years I was the English literature teacher at Newcastle upon Tyne Secondary School. I taught Grade 11 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Zimmerman: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
