Mrs. Yakubu
18 years teaching home economics in Lagos
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Stonebridge Girls' School
- Since 2012
- English, Yoruba
For 14 years I have been the home economics teacher at Stonebridge Girls' School. I teach primary school children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I run most mornings. Inside it, my door is open at lunch.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mrs. Yakubu
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me home economics in 2020 at Stonebridge Girls' School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
