I taught environmental science and religious studies at Akron High School, Akron. I never turned anyone away.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mrs. Whitaker
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the national park, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Whitaker: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
