Mrs. Van der Merwe
Retired agriculture teacher from East London Grammar School
- 🇿🇦 East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa
- East London Grammar School
- 1993 to 2025
- English, Zulu
I taught agriculture at East London Grammar School in East London from 1993 to 2025. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 1,860 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Van der Merwe: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
