I taught early years and social studies at Willow Creek Grammar School, Sacramento. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 600 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
