Mrs. Thompson

Mathematics teacher at San Diego Middle School, 1999 to 2025

🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States

I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 26 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Mrs. Thompson

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
