I taught geography at Bakersfield Secondary School in Bakersfield from 2001 to 2012. Most days I taught Year 9, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I'm learning the guitar. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
