I taught music at Sunrise Secondary School in Semarang from 2015 to 2024. Most days I taught the final-year class, and my door was open at lunch.
Over the years I had 520 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
