Mrs. Silva
12 years teaching French in Kandy
- 🇱🇰 Kandy, Central, Sri Lanka
- Ashford Academy
- 1997 to 2015
- English, Sinhala
I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and 18 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Mrs. Silva
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Silva: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me French in 1999 at Ashford Academy. I still remember that terrible school play Greetings from Bogor.
