I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 35 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I walk the dog by the river. Inside it, I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Shen: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
