Mrs. Schwartz
17 years teaching English literature in Joliet
- 🇺🇸 Joliet, Illinois, United States
- Since 1997
- English
For 29 years I have been the English literature teacher at Gateway High School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
More about Mrs. Schwartz
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

You taught me English literature in 2020 at Gateway High School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
