Mrs. Savchenko
Spanish teacher at Hillcrest Grammar School, Since 1980

For 46 years I have been the Spanish teacher at Hillcrest Grammar School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Mrs. Savchenko
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Mrs. Savchenko: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
