For 31 years I was the special education teacher at Ashford Boys' School. I taught Year 10 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I ran the running club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I walk the dog by the river.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Mrs. Ruiz
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
