I taught social studies at Hope Public School in Tijuana from 1978 to 2014. Most days I taught primary school children, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
