I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and 31 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk. I'm still learning every day.

More about Mrs. Romero

If you were in my primary school children class, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Romero: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
