I came to teaching late, after working as a bus driver, and 39 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
