I came to teaching late, after working as a shop assistant, and 38 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mrs. Poirier
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Poirier: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
