I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and 19 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 870 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mrs. Petersen
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Mrs. Petersen: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

I failed Spanish twice before you. After you I passed with a B. Thank you. Greetings from Gold Coast.
