For 27 years I was the home economics teacher at Parkside Technical College. I taught teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
