I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and twelve years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I run most mornings. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Ochieng: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
