Mrs. Ochieng
27 years teaching music in Dar es Salaam
- 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Dar es Salaam Girls' School
- 2004 to 2024
- English, Swahili
For 20 years I was the music teacher at Dar es Salaam Girls' School. I taught Year 10 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Mrs. Ochieng
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Mrs. Ochieng: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
