I taught history at St. Mary's Boys' School in Porto Alegre from 1996 to 2018. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mrs. Nunes
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
