I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and 30 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 540 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mrs. Ngcobo
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Ngcobo: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me art in 2005 at Highland High School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard Greetings from Bandung.
