For 30 years I have been the geography teacher at Winston-Salem Middle School. I teach Grade 8 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I answer every email, even at midnight.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mrs. Navarro
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Navarro: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
