I taught biology at Silverlake Grammar School in Nairobi from 1985 to 2010. Most days I taught first-year students, and my door was open at lunch.
Over the years I had 950 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
