Mrs. McCoy
28 years teaching social studies in Jacksonville
- 🇺🇸 Jacksonville, Florida, United States
- Beacon Middle School
- 2018 to 2025
- English
I taught social studies at Beacon Middle School in Jacksonville from 2018 to 2025. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mrs. McCoy
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mrs. McCoy: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
