Mrs. McCoy
Social studies and early years teacher, New Orleans
- 🇺🇸 New Orleans, Louisiana, United States
- Beacon Academy
- 2011 to 2023
- English
I taught social studies at Beacon Academy in New Orleans from 2011 to 2023. Most days I taught Grade 8, and my door was open at lunch.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

What gifts mean to Mrs. McCoy: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
