I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 30 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I fix old bicycles. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
