I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and 39 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
