Mrs. Iyengar
23 years teaching French in Nashik
- 🇮🇳 Nashik, Maharashtra, India
- Pioneer Primary School
- 1987 to 2014
- English
For 27 years I was the French teacher at Pioneer Primary School. I taught mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mrs. Iyengar
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Iyengar: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
