I taught early years at Ashford Boys' School in Badagry from 1981 to 2018. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 1,110 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
