I taught art at Cedar Grove Boys' School in El Paso from 1992 to 2009. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I never once raised my voice.
I coached the school's basketball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
