Mrs. Hartono
Religious studies and English literature teacher, Surabaya
- 🇮🇩 Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia
- Surabaya Girls' School
- Since 1988
- English, Indonesian, Spanish
I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and 38 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 870 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Hartono: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me religious studies in 1999 at Surabaya Girls' School. I still remember the snow day nobody expected. Thank you again.
