I taught Spanish at Cedar Grove Secondary School in Kathmandu from 2013 to 2025. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 650 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
