Mrs. Gunawardena
Art and geography teacher, Kandy
- 🇱🇰 Kandy, Central, Sri Lanka
- Maple Ridge High School
- Since 1995
- English, Sinhala
I came to teaching late, after working as a shop assistant, and 31 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I walk the dog by the river. Inside it, I never raise my voice.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Mrs. Gunawardena
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Mrs. Gunawardena: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
