For 41 years I have been the home economics teacher at Silverlake Middle School. I teach the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's volleyball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Gounder: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
