Mrs. Getu
30 years teaching physical education in Gondar
- 🇪🇹 Gondar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- Since 1980
- English, Amharic
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 46 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 1,660 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mrs. Getu
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

You taught me physical education in 1988 at Gondar Public School. I still remember that terrible school play!
