Mrs. Gayle
37 years teaching Spanish in Half-Way Tree
- 🇯🇲 Half-Way Tree, Saint Andrew, Jamaica
- Silverlake Grammar School
- Since 1994
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a mechanic, and 32 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 1,730 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Gayle: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
