I taught economics at Soweto Middle School in Soweto from 1989 to 2010. Most days I taught Year 7, and I played music while people worked.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mrs. Fourie
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
