I taught art at Juiz de Fora Public School in Juiz de Fora from 1993 to 2021. Most days I taught primary school children, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 1,650 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
