I teach music and drama at Beacon Academy, Yonkers. I answer every email, even at midnight.
Over the years I've had 2,130 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Mrs. Figueroa: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
