Mrs. Figueroa
Special education and physics teacher, Philadelphia
- 🇺🇸 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
- Philadelphia Primary School
- Since 2000
- English
For 26 years I have been the special education teacher at Philadelphia Primary School. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Mrs. Figueroa
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Figueroa: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
