I teach history at Saint-Étienne Middle School in Saint-Étienne since 1981. Most days I teach mixed-ability classes, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I've coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
What gifts mean to Mrs. El-Sayed: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
