Mrs. Du Plessis
19 years teaching art in Johannesburg
- 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
- 1985 to 2006
- English, Zulu, Spanish
I taught art and biology at Hillcrest Primary School, Johannesburg. I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 650 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Mrs. Du Plessis
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Mrs. Du Plessis: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me art in 1987 at Hillcrest Primary School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
