Mrs. Dixon
Special education and environmental science teacher, Syracuse
- 🇺🇸 Syracuse, New York, United States
- Oakwood Academy
- Since 1988
- English
For 38 years I have been the special education teacher at Oakwood Academy. I teach Year 10 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mrs. Dixon
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Dixon: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
