I came to teaching late, after working as a mechanic, and 24 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I walk the dog by the river. Inside it, I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
More about Mrs. De Groot
If you were in my Year 9 class, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
What gifts mean to Mrs. De Groot: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
