Mrs. Darwish
Teacher at Shubra Academy, loves chemistry
- 🇪🇬 Shubra, Cairo, Egypt
- Shubra Academy
- 1984 to 2014
- English, Arabic
For 30 years I was the chemistry teacher at Shubra Academy. I taught the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I walk the dog by the river. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Mrs. Darwish
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Mrs. Darwish: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me chemistry in 1993 at Shubra Academy. I still remember the last day before the summer holidays.
