Mrs. Cortez
37 years teaching home economics in Cleveland
- 🇺🇸 Cleveland, Ohio, United States
- Cleveland Middle School
- Since 2010
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 16 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Mrs. Cortez
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Mrs. Cortez: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me home economics in 2018 at Cleveland Middle School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
